Moy Hill Farm will provide both our classroom and our farm learning site. Five years ago, Moy Hill Community Farm, in County Clare, Ireland, started off with a 1/2 acre community garden, and through several recent land acquisitions, are now up to 67 acres. They plan to expand their CSA beyond vegetables to include seasonal fruit, laying hens, turkeys or geese for Christmas, and eventually beef and lamb, goat’s milk, and honey.
Fergal Smith took Holistic Management onboard because, “I’ve always been interested in how the market garden fits in with the larger landscape. I’ve wanted to have more of an understanding of land management and how it all works together.”
Sailean Farm will provide both our classroom and our farm learning site. These delightful videos describe the year in which Roger and Gilly, Dan and Fieke went holistic together at Sailean Farm.
